Bashour, also spelled Bachour or Baschour, is a Syrian/Lebanese surname that is unique to some Christians in the Middle East mainly Antiochian or Greek Orthodox and less commonly to Roman Catholics. The term Bashour means "giver of the best news" or "like the Apostle" in Arabic, it stems from the word Bishara which means "the one with the Word of God" as well as "the last warrior that will fight for God" .
